Amanda Osuna is originally from Venezuela and migrated to sunny South Florida in 2003. She received her Bachelors in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2015 and her Masters in Criminology from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. She will be graduating with a Ph.D. in Criminology from Michigan State University next summer (summer 2023). She has certificates in DEI, Law & Society, Policing, and Crime and Criminal Behavior. Her research focuses on sexual violence, vulnerability, betrayal, and the intersectionality of marginalized identities. Her most recent work has been featured in Studies in Conflict & Terrorism.
