  1. What are the Food for Thought: Cultural Community Dinners? These are monthly dinners designed to inspire community rebuilding among multicultural and marginalized communities by sharing a delicious meal and engaging in important diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) topics. Dinners are co-hosted with 2-3 student organizations who will work in collaboration with the ICI/REHS team and with one another to host this event.
  1. Why would student organizations want to co-host a dinner? a. Coalition build with other student orgs. b. Be part of a supportive and inclusive community. c. Discuss important DEI topics. d. Utilize the ICI platform to increase awareness of your student org. e. Share a delicious cultural meal. 
  1. How many “Food for Thought” dinners will there be? Our plan is to host 2-3 dinners per semester. These dinners may increase or decrease depending on demand and availability.
  1. Can we still be involved if our student organization does not get selected? Yes! You can register to attend the dinner on a first come first serve basis. There are also other opportunities for your student organization to get involved with the ICI. Email kozarmea@msu.edu for follow up.
  1. How are these dinners paid for? The expense for dinners will be covered by the ICI and REHS. Student organizations will not need to contribute financially to these dinners.
  1. What will we do at these dinners? Co-hosts will plan the details of the dinner with the ICI/REHS team to address an important DEIB topic. 
  1. Who can come to these dinners? Dinners are open to MSU students, staff, faculty and administrators.
  1. When will these dinners take place? Dinners will take place once a month beginning in February. Actual days will be confirmed once the student organizations co-hosting have been selected.
