“A challenge that I have noticed here at MSU is the lack of support for women of color in the STEM field. While there are organizations that support marginalized ethnic and racial groups, including support for women, in general, there is an invisibility of women of color in the STEM field. I believe that a safe space for women of color in STEM would be a great way to support and connect other women who feel the same way. Seeing the representation of these women of color and having a sense of community can encourage other women to not be scared and join the STEM field.”
