For over 88 years, the sophomore honor organization Tower Guard has advanced opportunity for students with disabilities. They are a most vital part of MSU’s leadership in inclusion.
They work very closely with the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities, so I share news of their largest visibility and fund-raising effort with you as a friend of our department and our mission. The funds they raise support accessible textbooks, student leadership, and various academic supports for students with disabilities. A message from Tower Guard leadership follows and it provides linkages to either participate in the Shamrock 5K event or to support it in other ways.
** The 2022 MSU Tower Guard Shamrock 5k Run, Walk, Roll is finally here and we’d love to have you join us!
There will be raffle items, medals for participants, a Sparty appearance (pending our dominance in March Madness), and a fun addition to the day’s activities, and making its very exciting debut – tours of our very own Beaumont Tower and playing of the bells!
In light of the pandemic, we are also working to create a “socially distanced Spartans” option which will allow participants to receive all materials and complete the race at home or wherever else you feel the most secure!
