Dear MSU Community,
The next COVID-19 vaccine booster clinics are set for March 21 and March 28 at the Breslin Center, from 2-7 p.m.
All faculty, students and staff must receive a booster immediately upon becoming eligible and record it online or apply for and receive an exemption. Employees who fail to do so will be referred to the appropriate disciplinary process. Students who fail to do so will have holds placed on their accounts, preventing them from accessing grades or transcripts and enrolling in summer 2022 and fall 2022 classes, among other things.
Even if you recently tested positive for COVID-19, you must either receive the booster or apply for a medical exemption if you have been told to delay getting your booster. The booster clinic, a partnership between MSU and the Ingham County Health Department, will offer all three FDA-approved or -authorized vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson). Individuals are eligible for a booster five months after a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after receiving a Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
What you need to know:
- Bring a valid ID (MSU student/employee IDs are acceptable).
- Bring your vaccination card, if available.
- Appointments are strongly encouraged and can be made via the health department website. Walk-ins will be accepted until 6:45 p.m.
- Free parking is available in Lot 63 off Harrison Road, to the south of Breslin.
- Enter Breslin using the southeast Hall of History entrance by the Magic Johnson statue.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment. Wear clothing with short sleeves and do not fast before your appointment if possible.
Boosters also are available at the MSU Health Care Pharmacy, and students may get a booster through Olin Health Center by calling (517) 353-4660 to book an appointment. Information on where else to find a vaccine also can be found on the Together We Will website.
Once receiving your booster, all faculty, students and staff must record it at https://covidresponse.msu.edu/vaccine/survey.
