2022 Cultural Vogue

The Asian Pacific American Student Organization (APASO) is proud to host the 19th annual Cultural Vogue: a showcase of a variety of performances including singing, dancing, and spoken word related to the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Identity and Culture. The 2022 Theme is Alienated – to highlight the idea that our culture as Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans is viewed as “othered” and foreign despite the hardships endured to show that we belong. We wanted to highlight those who immigrated to the United States and are seen as aliens and not belonging. The wording is meant to note our hardships and making note of what we have endured to remain resilient in the present especially in regards to the pandemic and Anti-Asian Hate.
